October 12, 2009 (New York) – Vitech Systems Group, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software to group benefit administrators, announced today that it has signed a large software and services contract with the Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds. The contract provides for the licensing and implementation of Vitech's V3 Benefit Software for use by the 32BJ Benefit Funds as their new administration solution. The new system will address administration needs of the funds including member and employer demographics, contract tracking, contributions accounting, pension processing, benefits disbursements and more. The new system will replace the fund’s current legacy system.
Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds provide benefits for members of SEIU Local 32BJ, the largest property service workers union in the country. The organization’s 100,000 participants represent office cleaners, security officers, doormen, porters, maintenance workers, bus drivers and aides, window cleaners, school cleaners, and food service workers and their dependents in eight states and Washington, DC. The V3 system will enable the Benefit Funds to streamline operations, contain administration costs, and improve the levels of service it is able to offer its members.
“The Funds selected Vitech’s V3 Benefits System because of V3's impressive ability to handle our unique and complex business requirements. V3 is a flexible and scalable solution that will adapt to our evolving organizational and regulatory demands,” said Susan Cowell, Executive Director of the Funds. “We are excited about our new V3 system and our partnership with Vitech. We expect that the long term beneficial impact to our operations will be very significant.”
“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds on the implementation of their new V3 solution,” said Frank Vitiello, President of Vitech. “We are confident that V3 will make a major impact on 32BJ's operations and service levels.”
